Old Guys

Shanny joined the Devils and scored the winner in his debut. A homecoming of sorts, as Shanny dates back to the Christmas themed red and green Devils uniforms. On the other coast, Claude Lemieux (44) got called up by the Sharks. I'm not sure if the Sharks are facing injury issues, but Lemieux making the NHL in his comeback attempt is a pretty big deal. No team would take him (maybe take him seriously?) as the guy has been out of the NHL for 5 years!  So, he starts playing for a Sharks affiliate in China. (BTW. I had no idea the Sharks had a Chinese affiliate team). Then he graduates to Worchester Sharks, then a call-up to the big club. If anything, the Sharks are serious contenders this year. And five years removed from the NHL or not, Lemieux is notorious for his ability to be MONEY in the playoffs. I'm pulling for him. If nothing else, to win Roenick a Staney Cup, so he can finally retire. Also, it was announced that Peter Forsberg's annual comeback attempt is in full swing.
